A blank canvas was transformed into a modern space with clean lines and a restrained colour palette. The client wanted to create a garden with distinct areas with contemporary straight lines, and preferred whites and greys. In this new build garden, which was laid to lawn, we introduced a pergola-covered dining area, with fairy lights that loop across to allow the clients to enjoy late summer evenings. A simple slate monolith that the client already owned was repurposed in a new water feature flanked by planting and sitting next to a sunny decked seating area on which to lounge. The white rendered raised beds with olives, lavender and salvia, give a mediterranean feel.
